Happy Friday!!
I’m not really looking forward for the weekend (sadly) because I think my boss is making me work the showcase this Sunday morning.. and in case you were wondering, yes it is unpaid
I’m going to try to get out of it today because it’s such a drive for me and all I’d do is take names at the door..
AKA: get yelled at by rich people because they’re too lazy to write out their name and phone numbers ![]()
So yea, fingers crossed I can get out of it! ![]()
Moving on…
I get asked a lot about what Pilates I do (since I’m obsessed and all
)… so I figured I’d compile a list of my favorite DVDS ![]()

Featuring the lovely Lara Hudson. This was actually one of the first Pilates DVDs that I found when I started way back when, and I always find myself going back to it. She has such a soothing voice and flows through the sequences at a nice pace.
The great thing with these DVDs are that you can put together a workout targeting different parts of your body! Plus there are 5 different segments, so you can mix and match or do the entire tape for a total body workout.
10 Minute Solution: Rapid Results Pilates

Again, another Lara Hudson workout, only this one is a little more intense than the first one. She targets different muscles of the body in a more advance flow.
This one is also great because you can mix and match the workouts.
10 Minute Solution: Pilates Perfect Body

This one is taught by Suzanne Bowen, and boy is it intense. She moves faster than Lara Hudson and gets right into the workouts.
**The arm workout is killer!
Mari Winsor’s Lower Body Pilates

I absolutely LOVE this DVD. She has three (3) 20 minute segments all focusing on different parts of the lower body. Her thighs workout is intense and I always ALWAYS feel it, no matter how many times I do it.
I HIGHLY recommend this DVD ![]()
Mari Winsor’s Flat Abs Pilates

Just like the lower body workout, this one is also intense. This DVD comes with two (2) 20 minute workouts, and one (1) 10 minute.
It is also the reason why I hate the teaser with a sick passion ![]()

I have been doing Pilates for almost 30 days now as my main form of strength training, so to keep my body guessing, I knew I needed to have more variety other than the DVDs I have. Because really, there’s only so many variations I can do ![]()
So I signed up for Pilates Anytime. It’s great because there are over 600 classes you can watch. This is also where I found the Barre classes!

So there you have it!
My Pilates DVDs ![]()
And just as a side note, these are all, of course, my opinion
… I knew I needed to tone down the crazy workouts but still wanted to tone up, and since yoga was just never my thang..Pilates was the perfect option for me.
Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing these girl! I’m definitely looking to cool down my crazy workouts soon and getting centered — and, hopefully toned — with Pilates seems like the perfect way to do it!

Do you need any equipment with these workouts?

Just a mat, and for the arms workouts 2-3 pound weights
