Happy Monday!!
I hope you all had a great weekend
I ended up having to work for a couple of hours on Sunday, but it ended up being ok since I explored a bit and found a Trader Joe’s right down the road.
I kinda went pumpkin crazy ![]()
Pumpkin Butter (which is a little too good), pumpkin yogurt, some Peanut Butter (and I just read an article on it being recalled??), and some quinoa bread.
I think I’m finally in the pumpkin mood
Thanks again to Katie though, because it’s another round of…
Woohoo!
My Monday is marvelous, because this weekend, I was able to sit down and make myself a bowl of hot buckwheat ![]()
I think that’s what I love most about the weekends, I have more time to make my breakfasts. This bowl was a delicious batch of vanilla ginger buckwheat, mixed with blueberries, and topped with some PB.
My favorite!!!
In case you missed my previous post about this topic… this weekend was yet another go at being a birder ![]()
I came home from Trader Joe’s to an empty house, and made myself some soup and a piece of toast (comfort food for a frozen Rachel
)…
Around an hour later my family came back and my sister told me she wanted me to go birding—yet again. So I naturally agreed to it and swore to myself that I wouldn’t go looking for Black
Name that book!
I’m such a nerd, every time I hear the word “swear” or “swore” I always think of Harry Potter ![]()
Anywhoo…
I actually promised myself that I wouldn’t go near any sleeping swans… I really had no idea that they were so vicious! And there I was just chillin 2 feet away from it, as my sister cautiously backed away, pretending she didn’t know me.
As we prepared for our trip, I look over and see that she has her jumbo sized binoculars draped around her neck.
“Want a pair?” She asked
I nodded and figured it’d be a funny photo op ![]()
Instead she hands me her “emergency” binoculars. They were about the size of my palm and probably came with one of her American Dolls. I smiled and took them, where I later got scolded for not using them ![]()
I did use hers though! To check out the a creature from across the lake…
It looked at little something like this:

The face of death right there…
The sky was so clear yesterday, it was such a typical Fall day.. to the point where my toes actually felt like they were getting frost bite ![]()
(Cool mirror image
)
(The birder in action)
(I actually took this picture to bring to my hair dresser
I kinda want her hair color haha)
Pretty day ![]()
Another Marvelous thing that happened this weekend, well not so marvelous, but more marvelous because it was really funny. Remember how I said me and my friend were going to sign up for a race???
Yea, well, the crazy girl texts me Friday night saying she found one for us and emailed it to me. Wanna know which one it is???
The one where you’re running for your lives after being chased by zombies!
It’s in Maryland, so it would be like a 5 hour drive for us, but still… the thought of having my heart rate out of control from being chased around by zombie looking people just doesn’t seem too too exciting. That and my Mom said I’d be crazy to do that haha
Any thoughts?
xx

One of my friends just did one of those run for your lives 5k’s! He said it was fun and — obviously — unique, just a little more on the expensive side. It sounds like any of those mud runs/obstacle races are, though.

Yea it def is a little on the pricey side :/ l’m not sure how I feel about the mud portion either haha

Glad you are able to relax and take the day off. Super jealous too. I’ve heard runs like that are super fun but pricey. I don’t know, I personally think it would be worth it.

Yeaaa.. that’s the thing too haha I’m still thinking of it
