A Big Bowl of Deliciousness

Happy Humps Day!

I’m really not liking this rain… makes it hard to figure out what to wear Smile with tongue out… which is like a lot of the days in the fall.  My hands have also been bugging out so I have to keep my special hand cream on them at night.

It helps my circulation since I’m like an old lady and all Winking smile

Workout

Since I saw it was going to rain, I planned today to be my treadmill walking/Boy Meets World watching day Open-mouthed smile… I swear this show is probably one of my favorites… although it is quite depressing sometimes.

I also wish they kept Eric normal… as the series went on, they made him just really annoying (in my opinion).

I ended up walking on an incline for 45 minutes and did some strength workouts that looked a little something like this:

**I’m actually following their Drop 10 plan that was out in the beginning of May.  Their workouts are short and not too intense looking (HIIT runs that don’t last that long), so I thought it would be perfect for my goal to decrease the running Smile, So far I’m liking it—and during the last week (it’s a 5 week program), I get to run a 10K! So that will be a record Winking smile

Breakfast

Last night all I could think about was yogurt… so a yogurt bowl it was!

Plain Chobani + Flax Meal + Blueberries + Figs + Ginger= One HAPPY Rachel Open-mouthed smile

I really like figs… don’t know why it took me this long to get some.

Although my yogurt bowl was quite amazing.. I’m really excited for what I have in store for lunch today Winking smile

Let’s all take a gander at what I packed!

Lunch

I figured I’d start trying new things, and since we had no lettuce in the house, I knew I had to get creative.

First I sautéed some broccoli (ok, not some, more like 1/2 the bag) with some turmeric spice. Once that cooked up, I added some Nutritional Yeast dressing (2 tbsp Nutritional Yeast + 1 tbsp water, mix together to form a paste, drizzle on top)

**I got this idea from Heather, because lately I’ve been obsessed with her blog! Seriously, I read through so much of her posts all day at work yesterday! Open-mouthed smile

Cooked up a veggie burger, cut up a tomato and there you have it!

A big bowl of deliciousness.

And don’t you fret, I plan on bringing about a pound of baby carrots on the side Winking smile

  1. MMM. That veggie burger looks amazing and so good! Everything actually looks so good!

  2. mmm- lunch looks so good! I love nutritional yeast! I usually just sprinkle it on my salads, but I need to get back to making the dressing out of it again!

  3. I have been meaning to try figs! I bet they are tasty with some Chobani :-)

  4. I loved boy meets world. I haven’t seen that show in years!

  5. I seriously need to do more strength. When I’m done with this marathon this month I’m going to make it a goal to do it 3 times a week. And I’m addicted to veggie burgers…I’m not vegetarian I just love ‘em :-)

    • You should def try these routines, they’re not that intense (which I don’t like lol) and good for just starting again like me :) they’re soo good! I’m still looking for the perfect veggie burger- homemade lol
