Hello all!

Happy Monday!

I had quite an exciting weekend… but first, thanks to Katie for keeping this tradition going!

I had the FUNNIEST thing ever happen to me Friday after work.  Me and my Mom decided to go get our nails done, where I picked out a dark red color for my toes and was going to get a French manicure on my nails. 

Now, I’m sure I mentioned it in the past that I have a huge bruise on my big toe nail that was growing out.  I got this from running and it’s totally attractive and how I get all the boys

So there I was, chillin in the chair when the woman looks at my toe horrified! She’s completely freaked that my toe nail is black on one half.  So after I assured her that it didn’t hurt and she could file it, she calls her friends over (in her language) where they then bend over my toe like it was an alien from Mars.

My Mom told me I should maybe get it checked since they were so grossed out by it.

I agreed to it as I watched the woman file it down so it wasn’t so bumpy. 

I then placed my foot in the boiling lava hot wonderfully hot water and continued talking to my Mom. 

THEN

Just as I was switching my feet, the woman freaks out.

My toe nail fell off!

She was so freaked out and I naturally began to crack up.  I mean, who has their toe nail fall off like that?!

I think she was more scared I was going to get mad because once she saw me and my Mom laughing, she started too—as did her friends.

She ended up cutting it off entirely for me, and now I have a nice attractive half toe nail

The red nail polish? Yea, I decided to skip that because me and the woman were cracking up on how weird it would look.. so her friend showed me a pearly white color instead

Her exact words? “It will match your toe skin…”

Hey at least my cuticles are cut right? haha!

This weekend I also found this lovely batch of goodness..

Something else exciting also happened in my life this weekend…

Coconut Flour!!

Yum!!

Blueberry Coconut Oats

1/3 cup Oats
2/3 cup Blueberries
1 tbsp Coconut flour
1 tsp flax meal

Sprinkled the top with cinnamon because it’s the love of my life, and some PB2

I’m hoping to try it out in some bread/muffin recipes I’ve seen floating around.  I’m horrible with baking.. I love it, but at the same time, I don’t.  I think it’s because I know things take a while for me to eat, so I have to rely on my Dad so it won’t go bad
