Hello Hello!
I’m glad you all liked my toe story
It really was hilarious… and I’m also glad to see I’m not the only one out there with stories!! Your nail experiences cracked me up ![]()
But I do wish you all the best of luck in growing them back ![]()
My toe nail is semi grown.. just gonna up the biotin in the meantime and hopefully by winter it’ll be back to normal—woohoo!
At least it’s not flip flop season anymore ![]()
Because it is officially scarf season!
(This is my “I’m frozen and tired” face haha)
On a different note.. I have some good news!
Operation get period back seems to be successful!
I never thought I’d see the day where I welcomed cramps and bloating with open arms.
TMI: For those of you who have also lost your periods, I know mine is on it’s way when I gain like 10 pounds of water in my stomach lol very uncomfortable, but guess it’s what my body needs in order to get it again.
(Sorry to all the male readers
)
So as of now my fingers are crossed.
Workout
This weekend I did some running—one 3 miler, and one 4 miler… nothing too intense, I kept the pace nice a slow. Yesterday was my walking day, so today I decided to stick to the schedule (I’m on week 3 now) which consisted of a HIIT run for 20 minutes.
8 seconds spring
12 seconds recovery
Repeat until you have 20 minutes (for me it’s pretty much around the block)
After that I decided to do some strength workouts (part of the plan) since I’ve been doing Pilates for the past 3 days.
I’ve been pretty much following the same routine that I’ve been doing, only increasing the weights/reps.
Breakfast
Coconut is my new favorite thing ![]()
Seriously though, why has it taken this long for me to incorporate it in my diet?!
Coconut Oats!
Alright, so basically it’s the same kind of oatmeal I eat daily only with coconut on top, but still.. it was quite delicious ![]()
But here’s something different…
Lunch
Lately I’ve been cooking my veggies instead of eating them raw… because I realized that the more raw veggies I eat during the week, the more my stomach hates me by the weekend haha
I know, I know, I’m a sensitive soul.
But it’s who I am….
In today’s bowl: Kale, Red Peppers, Broccoli, Sunflower Seeds, Sesame Oil, Tumeric Spice, and some Nutritional Yeast (which my co-workers HATE the smell of).
On the side I enjoyed a nice Boca burger… I really like that brand for vegan burgers, that is when I do want one… I don’t really eat too much “fake meat” products.
(Around 3 pounds of baby carrots were also consumed)
My friend wants to see that terrifying movie Sinister tonight.. so looks like that’s what I’m about to do.
I have a love/hate relationship when it comes to scary movies. I think this is because I’ve seen spirits before (I know, I’m crazy, but it’s true!) so all the thoughts/feelings come back.
Hopefully it won’t be too scary
xx
Rach
Questions:
Anyone see Sinister yet?
Do you like scary movies?

Yay for the period
haha. The previews for that movie completely freak me out- I can only watch scary movies in my living room, with all the lights on and my boyfriend next to me (to protect me from things that may come out of the TV, of course.) hahaha
October 16, 2012 at 11:35 am
haha that’ll prob be me! I’m always convinced that the spirit will follow me out of the theater haha!

Love to hear about your mini success! Sounds fabulous to me! I hate scary movies personally and will not watch them. I don’t really have an attention span for any movies though LOL.

Thanks lady!

October 16, 2012 at 10:41 am
I HATE scary movies. I always spend the movie peeking through my hands.
And congrats about getting your period back! Who knew that could be so exciting?!

YAY for your period news, that is so exciting!! Coconut is a powerful ingredient!! It can change even the smallest meal! No scary movies for me right now. Sometimes I get scared, sometimes I don’t..but I don’t do well with creepy faces..they haunt me everywhere I go. haha.
October 16, 2012 at 12:22 pm
ahh you’re so right about creepy faces! Sometimes I’ll close my eyes and still picture what I saw in a movie lol
October 16, 2012 at 12:20 pm
I feel kind of awkward saying this, seeing as I’m still kind of a new reader and all, but that’s such awesome news about your period! Nothing quite like being rewarded for all of your hard work and sacrifice, right?
As for scary movies… definitely not for me. My imagination is waaaaay too overactive, and I can’t sleep for weeks after seeing something scary. The last horror movie I watched was The Ring, and I had nightmares for at least a month. After that, I swore off scary movies big time.
October 16, 2012 at 12:25 pm
aww thank you so much!! Not awkward at all
I’m glad things seem to be heading towards the right track
omg the Ring! That was a scary one! I kept thinking the girl would haunt me because I watched it haha!

Congratulations on getting your period back! I’ve been through that too. It’s great when your body is healthy enough to support a period!
I’ve seen spirits too and I know a few other people who have also seen them. It’s one of the reasons I don’t celebrate halloween. Nowadays though, I trust in God that they can’t harm me, so I don’t worry about it. I don’t like scary movies though because I just don’t like the feeling of being scared. I’m not going to scare myself for fun. I’ll just stick to happier feelings when I can control it.
October 16, 2012 at 1:39 pm
Thanks! It def is a nice feeling
It’s so spooky! I’m glad to hear you’ve seen some too. Most people I know don’t believe me when I’ll tell them lol and I totally know the not wanting to scare yourself feeling lol

Congrats on your monthly gift!! That is definitely something to celebrate. I absolutely cannot stand scary movies.. I have a crazy imagination and automatically think things are coming to get me. Sooo, they don’t work out for me. Good luck!

Whoopwhoop for exciting news!
That sad bowl does look delicious! I need to try cooking my veggies, too. I always eat everything raw and it’s getting a bit mundane!

Hi! I just stumbled upon your blog and I love it so far. I am also a 24-year-old vegetarian.
I can barely watch the previews for “Sinister” and I love scary movies! I might have to wait for that one DVD so I can watch with the lights on.
