I just realized last night why I’m not a huge scary movie fan…
The kids are always so creepy!!
Seriously though… there’s just something about little kids in horror films that creep me out! And let me tell you, this movie was filled with creepy children… all running around, messing with the main characters head.
Overall, the movie wasn’t too too scary… like I actually didn’t think it was that scary at all (which is shocking because I’m usually terrified over any film involving creepy music). I found the entire thing to be more disturbing than scary.
I went with my friend from work and he (yes, he, and yes, JUST friends lol) actually said he wished it were scarier. He kept making fun of me because I would cover my eyes and ask what was going on.
*SPOILER*
The story followed the life of a writer who upped and moved his family to live in a house where a family was murdered. He doesn’t tell his wife, his kids find out, his son has night terrors, he starts seeing things, his new BFF the detective tries to help him uncover the mysterious deaths….
All that exciting stuff.
He of course goes into the beyond creep attic—where I would have been outta there in a flash once I saw the scorpion—and finds a box of old tapes. Turns out these are the tapes of all the murders. Each are linked to the other.
*END SPOILER*
Ugh, just creepy.
I don’t want to spoil the ending for anyone, but let’s just say, I’ll probably be terrified of all small children that come to my door on Halloween haha
My plan? Throw the candy and close the door ![]()
Anyways…
I’m not a huge horror film fan, but I must admit, I did sleep pretty nicely regardless ![]()
Breakfast
I’ve been loving cinnamon a lot lately ![]()
Yesterday I put together a nice yogurt bowl consisting of plain Chobani, apples, cinnamon, flax, and peanut butter. Such a tasty combo ![]()
My peanut butter of choice btw? Smart Balance… it’s delish! It has all good ingredients and you can find it at basically any store ![]()
Tomorrow I will open oats back with open arms because my Sunwarrior came in the mail! I love putting it in my oatmeal ![]()
Before breakfast though I tackled my workout for the day…
Workout
On the schedule today was another run day. 24 minute intervals consisting of 2 minutes of a fast paced run, followed by 2 minutes of a slow jog..for a total of 6 rounds.
After that sweat session I decided to cool down with some Pilates. I focused on my abs and arms since I did legs yesterday
I like to switch things up ![]()
Lunch
I fell asleep on the couch last night so I didn’t get a chance to actually cook myself something. So a veggie salad it was!
Into the bowl: lettuce, cucumbers, sunflower seeds, red pepper, and sesame ginger dressing on the side.
Coconut Greek “yogurt” was also consumed, as well as 1,000,000 baby carrots ![]()
Hey, at least I’ll be getting a nice orange glow, right? haha
I’m planning on going to Target after work today—what else is new?
I’m in charge of the Halloween candy in my house ![]()
I’m thinking mounds, m&ms, reeses, and kitkats haha
Yay!
Have a great Wednesday!
xx

Kit-Kats, Twix, and Smarties are definitely up there for me. Although, my parents would never let me eat the Smarties because they were easily resealable… I guess they were scared that somebody would slip poison in? Haha!

Definitely not a fan of kids in horror movies. The chick from The Ring? Omigod. Nightmares for weeks. LOVE Halloween candy, though… especially KitKat and Coffee Crisp

Kids are creepy, and the faces that haunt your brain. The movie does sound creepy..good story idea, but they never end up being super scary. REESES are my all time favorite candy. Since I went vegan though I have had to create my own. I think I’ve done a pretty good job!
October 17, 2012 at 12:40 pm
Yea it was more disturbing than anything haha ugh def don’t like the children in it though haha LOVE reeses! I’ve been wanting to try to make my own for a while now

Definitely add in some reeses, and there is no way I could pick a favorite candy!

Haha that is so true! I don’t mind scary movies, the gross gore and guts kinda stuff, but the ones where people or things pop-out ALWAYS get me

LOVE Sunwarrior! it actually had to grow on me but now I love it! eats looking good, lady!
