Happy Friday guys!!!
I for one am hoping the work day goes quickly, because I’m soooo ready for the weekend. I’m planning on getting some rest because sadly, I have a really bad sore throat (I think it’s from the cold temperatures) and think I just need sleep.
So sleep is what I shall do!
Me and my sister have some fun plans for tomorrow There’s this studio by us that offers free yoga classes, so we’re going to head down there and try it out. And you know, since the farm is right across the street maybe it’ll be time I pick up a pumpkin
I need to get to carving!
Am I the only one who still does that?
I’m actually THE pumpkin carver in my household and am pretty excited this year because my Mom got me a legit pumpkin carving kit.
Yes, I take my carving very seriously.
Yesterday after work I came home and canceled my plans to go return my shoes in favor of being a bum and sipping on tea in my Sister’s sister mug.
..Why yes! Yes she does
I have this weird habit/obsession of buying my Sister “sister mugs”. I usually find them once a year at Hallmark and always ALWAYS pick it up. I figure it’s a nice gift every now and then, and since I have a job and she doesn’t… I like to spoil her.
And by spoil her I mean buy her lots of mugs she can take with her when she moves out.. hey, at least she’ll never be out of a coffee cup!
**Sister Mug season is usually around Valentines Day
I ran yesterday because I knew today it was going to be raining… so I walked on the treadmill (and actually woke up on time ) for 20 minutes, then did 20 minutes of light jump roping.
I forgot about jump roping actually… so it was nice to incorporate that back into my routine today.
I slowed things down with some Pilates—but that’s nothing new
I know, I know, I’m boring… oat bran once again!
This time I added ginger to the mix instead of my usual cinnamon (I generally switch between the two).
Midmorning Snacks this week have been oranges because I’m trying to get lots of vitamin C to fight off this cold I can sense coming.
But lunch was different!
Sweet Potato Kale Bowl!
Last night I sautéed a sweet potato and steamed some kale to make something soft and soothing on my stomach. I’ve been good this week with switching things up and eating less raw veggies.
Stomach pain= gone
This Sunday I was supposed to go to Six Flags with my friends for fright fest, but considering I haven’t been feeling well, I canceled because honestly the though of going upside down and on roller coasters didn’t sound too appealing haha
